In addition, a curated selection of ambient music creates a peaceful atmosphere.

If you need to store luggage, the staff at the spa entrance can assist you. For a small fee, you may also store your luggage at the Luggage House in the main Blue Lagoon parking lot.

When you check in, you will be given an electronic bracelet which allows you to enjoy our facilities with total freedom. It functions as the key to your changing room and gives you access to all of the experience areas at Blue Lagoon Iceland. It is also the means by which you charge all meals and in-lagoon refreshments during your visit. We kindly suggest you wear it throughout your stay.

Geothermal seawater has high levels of silica. While not harmful to hair, silica can make hair stiff and difficult to manage. Therefore, we recommend that you apply conditioner to your hair before entering the lagoon and leave it in your hair while experiencing the lagoon. If your hair is longer, it is also wise to tie it in a ponytail or a bun. Complimentary conditioner is provided in the shower area of your changing room.

We are dedicated to ensuring that the Retreat Spa is a place free from the disruptions of modern life. Therefore, electronic devices and cameras are not permitted in the spa. Likewise, they are not permitted in the Retreat Lagoon.

If you wish to take pictures in the otherworldly waters, you are more than welcome to do so in the Blue Lagoon, which is accessible from the Retreat Spa.

We don't recommend wearing jewelry or other valuables into the lagoon or during the spa journey. If you need to store any valuables, you may leave them in your changing room or in the safety lockers near Spa Restaurant, which you can access with your bracelet. Blue Lagoon Iceland accepts no liability for lost, damaged, or stolen items.

As a guest of the Retreat Spa, you receive one free beverage of your choice from the in-lagoon bar. There is also a spa experience area called Refresh where you can relax and enjoy ice-cold glacier water

Day guests are entitled to five hours in the spa. This includes time in the Retreat Lagoon and the Blue Lagoon, as well as time spent for massages and treatments. For those wishing to dine at Lava Restaurant or Moss Restaurant, we recommend that you make your reservation for before or after your spa booking so that you don’t use your spa time on your dining experience.

Yes, all guests of the Retreat Spa get free admission to the Blue Lagoon during their 5-hour stay.

The minimum age for using the spa is 12 years old, but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. This same restriction applies to the Retreat Lagoon and the Blue Lagoon Ritual. Please note that the entrance for children is not complimentary.

To have a treatment, guests must be at least 12 years old.
