Switch off to tune in
The Blue Lagoon x Iceland Airwaves collaboration in 2023 explored the concept of switching off to tune in, where the beauty of disconnecting unfolds. We teamed up with up-and-coming Icelandic artists who shared their insights on the art of unplugging, its profound influence on creativity, and the inspiration that fuels their work. The journey promises to awaken your senses and leave you with a newfound appreciation for finding ease in the disconnect.

Elín Hall
Elín Hall is a talented actress and singer. She kicked off her artistic journey at a young age and dove into the world of music when she was just 11, playing the guitar at her mom's 40th birthday party. She released her album heyrist í mér? (Can you hear me?) on November 3, 2023.
"To me, performance is like some kind of meditation. It's like being vulnerable and guarded simultaneously."

Myrkvi
Magnús Arnar Thorlacius is known in the music world as Myrkvi. He started his musical journey as a child, learning to play the violin. However, his music career truly took off when he and Yngvi Holm, performing as the band Vio, emerged as winners of the Icelandic Músíktilraunir in 2014. On October 27, 2023, Magnús and Yngvi release their album titled "Early Warning" under the Myrkvi name. The album's lead track, described as a "drop of tea in a wine glass," was introduced earlier that year.
“For me, songwriting is an outlet. When I compose, I need absolute tranquillity.”
